Wool is naturally wicking; it’s the way a sheep sweats. So your temperature is regulated and any moisture from your body is wicked away. The secret is in the structure of the fibres which are hollow and absorb moisture leaving the surface of the fibre dry. Wool can absorb 30% of its own weight in moisture. Excess moisture is then wicked away.  This means that there are no mould and mould spores responsible for so many allergies.  Including dust mites who hate wool and can’t survive because of the very dry nature of the surface of the fibres.
Wool is naturally Anti-Bacterial, bacteria cannot survive in wool it’s also Naturally Hypoallergenic as It’s resistant to mould growth, and inhibits dust mites. So no sweat; no moisture; no dust mites; and no bacteria; making wool incredibly clean 

Diagonal stripe wool blanket are machine washable on a cold cycle. Do not spin or wring. We recommend that you use a mild detergent specially formulated for wool. Remove from the washing machine as soon as the cycle ends and re-shape whilst damp.

To dry your blanket, drape it half over a line or rack to drip dry naturally. Never tumble dry as this will cause shrinkage. Blankets should be washed separately to avoid snagging. Loose fibres and pilling can be gently removed with a lint roller or pilling comb.
